Brawley, CA September 29- A multi-agency police effort nabs a huge meth lab in the Imperial Valley. Police say it's a big victory for law enforcement.
The bust went down early Tuesday morning in the 1600 block of East Main Street in Brawley. Police arrested Robert Langferman, 32, and Martin Escoto, 37, or Brawley; as well as Steven Chestain, 35, and Larry Gomer, 37, of El Centro.
Officials say the Brawley Fire Department and specialized HAZMAT teams responded, and there is no further threat to residents in the area.
Detective Daniel Schleyer with the Brawley Police Department says the bust comes afer an on-going investigation by several law enforcement agencies into a meth manufacturing lab.
"Officers found a substantial supply of precursor material to produce significant amounts of methamphetamine," said Schleyer.
Police aren't releasing any other information at this time. The incident is under investigation.
