Border area rattled by earthquakes in Imperial County

EL CENTRO, Calif. (AP) - Earthquakes are rattling the U.S.-Mexico border area in Imperial County.

A magnitude-3.9 quake centered 18 miles west-southwest of El Centro struck about 11:37 last night.

That was followed this morning by a magnitude-3.6 quake that struck at 2:56 some 11 miles south-southwest of El Centro.

No damage has been reported.
