Rollover accident on Interstate 8

Yuma, Arizona -- A rollover accident leaves at least one person injured late this morning.

It happened at around 11:30 AM on westbound interstate eight about a mile from the 16th street exit.

A small vehicle somehow lost control and went off the road, slamming into a metal street light and breaking it off its foundation.

The car then rolled down an embankment before coming to a stop.

DPS officers helped the people inside the car climb back up the embankment, at least one person suffered minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
