Account Executive: Imperial Valley & Yuma

    KSWT is seeking a dynamic and outgoing business professional with a highly positive attitude.   The local account executives at KSWT consult with local businesses and assist them in developing Television and Internet advertising campaigns to grow their business.   This position offers tremendous freedom and top performers can earn very high commissions.    This position is ideal for highly competitive individuals who love to work in a creative environment.  A full benefits package and expense account is included.

    If you are the successful candidate, you will present and sell advertising on the most watched TV Channel in the Desert Southwest, KSWT News 13 CBS.  You will also present and sell advertising on the Region's newest and fastest growing Spanish Language Channel Estrella TV 13.3 and the only 24 hour local all sports offering, SportsChannel 13.2 as well as kswt.com and other related advertising media operated by our company.  The position involves selling pre built advertising packages, as well as developing customized advertising solutions for our advertisers.   This position required the development of new business and the servicing of some existing advertising accounts.

    KSWT will provide extensive training to the right individual,

    A Typical Week may include:

    • Selecting TV programs for advertisers commercials to air in
    • Assisting our Commercial Production department in the development of commercials
    • Building and delivering sales presentations
    • Cold Calling and prospecting new accounts
    • Participating in station training sessions 
    • Working closely with Advertisers and TV station management

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a varied list of clients.
    • Ability to develop strong personal relationship with our advertisers
    • Ability to solve problems creatively.
    • Ability to develop and make professional presentations to individuals and groups.
    • Ability to learn and retain complex material quickly
    • Must possess a self starting personality

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record & proof of insurance.
    • Must have an automobile in good running condition.
    • Must have a cell phone.
    • Four year college degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field required.
