Jenni and Chris worked closely with a mutual staff and would often see each other at social outings, but Jenni was the one to make the first move. "I called him," she admits. And after the first date, the two were inseparable.

A year and a half later, the two went to California for a friend's wedding and spent the following week touring Napa Valley with another couple. The day before they were due to head home, Jenni asked Chris to join her for a walk on the beach. He obliged and surprised her with a ring. Jenni hadn't even suspected, and Chris fessed up to having climbed down a fire escape during dinner one night to sneak a private phone call to ask Jenni's parents for permission.

The Ceremony Jenni and Chris said "I do" on the beach under a bamboo trellis with flowing white fabric and flowers.

The Programs Silver monogrammed letters on white cardstock and sea-foam ribbon brought out the wedding's signature colors.

The Escort Cards Assorted starfish -- displayed in large wooden troughs with sand and seashells -- were tied to tags listing guests' table assignments.

The Reception Inspired by Jenni's desire for an elegant beach feel, the florist came up with a "creamy dreamy" theme. They used flowing white fabric, soft candlelight, and white flowers to set the mood.

The Centerpieces To accommodate the number of guests (185), the reception was held inside. Tables alternated with a mix of tall and short floral arrangements and were topped off with ivory table linens and gold chiavari chairs.

The Cake An arrangement of dendrobium orchids cascaded down the side of the ivory three-tiered cake.
