El Centro, California -- El Centro Border Patrol agents working near Westmorland discover more than $1 million worth of cocaine in a pickup truck.
It happened at noon on Monday at the highway 86 checkpoint just outside Westmorland.
During an inspection a canine team alerted agents to further inspect a white Dodge truck.
In secondary inspection, agents found 37 pounds of cocaine worth more than $1.2 million.
The driver, a 48-year old legal U.S. resident was arrested and turned over to the DEA.
