Radar the Weather Dog joined our team in March of 2011 after being chosen by viewers from a pool of three contenders, all rescue animals from the Humane Society of Yuma. After the other two candidates were adopted into loving homes, our viewers also helped pick Radar's name through an online contest.
Radar is an Australian shepherd mix who was originally brought to the Humane Society with two other dogs. He is very social, and fancies himself quite the ladies man. When not in studio helping Meteorologists John Patrick and Joey Norton predict weather patterns in the Desert South West, Radar likes to chew on his favorite toys, go on hikes, swim in the Colorado River, and play at Yuma's Bark Park with his best canine friends, Donkey and Nella.
Radar is very happy to be a part of the KSWT family, and is looking forward to meeting our viewers as he continues his career with us.
