Marine Killed in Ogilby Crash Identified

We now know the identity of a Marine killed during a rollover crash near Ogilby Road Tuesday afternoon.

24 year old Corporal Sylverson Moise was driving a military vehicle along Interstate 8 when he somehow lost control near the Ogilby Road off ramp.

The vehicle, which was carrying Marines stationed at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, rolled, killing Cpl. Moise and seriously injuring another Marine, who has not yet been identified.

The Marine Corps says the injured Marine was originally taken to Yuma Regional Medical center, but we have learned he has since been taken to St. Johns Hospital in Phoenix for further treatment.

Cpl. Moise, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash died at the scene.

The Marine Corps says the Marines had been on an undisclosed assignment at MCAS Yuma.
