A Heroin bust in Mexicali, leaves two smugglers behind bars

Mexicali Police officials made two arrests yesterday, while conducting a routine car inspection check.

The first arrest happened yesterday morning, while Mexicali Police officials were conducting a routine car inspection near Decision Avenue and 11th Street.

After searching the car of 24 year old Veronica Del Carmen Salgado, a Mexicali resident, officials discovered 10 doses of Heroin.

Salgado was shortly arrested and booked for possession of narcotics.

During a second car inspection near Orange Street and Citric Avenue, officials discovered 5 small packages of Heroin pills inside the car of 41 year old Jesus Adrian Tellez Rubio.

Rubio was also arrested for possession of narcotics.
