CEO of Pioneers Memorial Hospital resigns

The CEO of Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley has resigned. Richard Mendoza has decided to leave after 11-years at PMH. Mendoza will be moving back home to San Antonio, Texas where his children and father now live.

His colleagues say he missed being close to his family and is looking forward to celebrating his 65^th birthday with them next month.

Mendoza's last day was on Tuesday.

Greg Moore will be serving as interim CEO until the hospital finds a permanent replacement.

Moore's first day was today. He relocated from Alabama.

Health officials say they were impressed with his experience and are looking forward to working with him.
