Thousands of people lined along 4^th avenue today to commemorate military veterans.

In honor of Veteran's Day, The American Legion Post 19 put on a parade this morning.

Many local schools, law enforcement and, public agencies participated in the festivities. They marched down 4^th avenue until they reached The American Legion Post 19.

Organizers say the parade had more than 100 local groups participating.

This year's parade theme is lest we forget.

The post honored Vietnam veterans on the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

This year's grand marshal was Karl Jones, a Vietnam veteran and past post commander.
