Yuma elementary students participate in health run

YUMA, Ariz. - Local elementary school students got in on a work out this morning.

About 400 H.L. Suverkrup students participated in the Doctor Lubb Dubb's Healthy Heart Fun Run this morning.

The one mile run was an attempt to promote childhood health and fitness.

Dr. Lubb Dubb pumped up the kids as they prepared for their run.

He says kids need more exercise.

"Well, we did it because we figured kids can't get enough action, kids can't get an opportunity to move their feet so we got that chance today," said Tom "Dr. Lubb Dubb" Bosberg.

With high childhood obesity rates, Dr. Lubb Dubb says kids' health and fitness should be a priority.
