Yuma Border Patrol seizes thousands in pot, seven arrested

YUMA, Ariz. - Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents seized roughly 240 pounds of marijuana and arrested seven suspected smugglers last night.

According to border patrol, Wellton Station agents found a group of people crossing by foot through the desert.

When agents caught up with the suspects, they discovered each one had a bundle of pot inside backpacks they were carrying.

All seven subjects are Mexican nationals.

The pot is valued at more than $120,000.
