Power restored after it goes out at MCAS Yuma


YUMA - Power was out for more than an hour at Marine Core Air Station Yuma yesterday afternoon.

Officials say power went out around 1pm in the afternoon.

They say the MCAS Fire Department responded to smoke at a substation on base. Firefighters say they assessed the situation and are currently investigating the outage.

They say it's possible due to recent weather conditions the breaker switches had flipped off.

Military officials say they haven't heard of any injuries.

APS tells news 13 they were called in to assist with the outage. Power was said to be restored around 2:30pm yesterday.
