MEXICALI, Calif. - Mexican authorities have captured one of the alleged main drug distributors in the desert southwest.
The suspect was identified as 54-year-old Rutilio Castro Rocha of Sinaloa, Mexico.
When officers arrested Rocha in Mexicali, they seized almost nine pounds of cocaine, heroin and, crystal meth. They were also able to confiscate fire arms and stacks of cash.
After a lengthy investigation, Mexican police says they were able track down Rocha's every move.
Mexican authorities say he worked closely with the infamous drug lord of the Sinaloa Cartel, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
