Yuma Border Patrol agents seize black tar heroin, two arrested

YUMA, Ariz. - Yuma border patrol arrested two suspects for smuggling about 17 pounds of black tar heroin yesterday morning.

Agents working the Highway 95 checkpoint referred a black pick-up truck to a secondary inspection.

Agents found ten bundles of narcotics with an estimated value of more than $230,000.

The packages were hidden in a speaker box.

The driver and the passenger, both U.S. citizens, were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration along with the drugs and vehicle.
