Desert Vet care is more than expected.
With winter not far away, complaints about Yuma's animal doctors may shortly
start taking up space in the letters to the editor column. Before that happens,
I would like to tell of two wonderful experiences I've had at Desert Veterinary
The first was when I had visitors from out-of-state and their poodle injured his
back. I called the clinic and explained the circumstances. By that afternoon, a
doctor was examining the little dog with a follow up exam the next week. With
their excellent care, he is a healthy dog once again. Even though it was the
middle of the winter season, Dr. Haugo and her staff didn't hesitate to care for
an animal in pain.
The second was the recent surgery on my 120-pound rottweiler. The Doctors made
sure I knew everything before and after the surgery, so I would know what to
expect. When all of my questions were answered, it was with the utmost
confidence that I turned over the care of my furry companion.
When the time to come home arrived, two veterinary assistants not only came out
to help me put my large friend into the cab of my truck, they followed me home
to get her out again. Was that great or what? Was that more than expected? You
I can't praise the doctors or the staff at Desert Veterinary Clinic enough for
their caring and generous attitude.
