ANDRADE PORT OF ENTRY, Calif. - A man wanted on charges related to attempted murder was arrested Sunday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Andrade Port of Entry.
They say Jose de Jesus Vargas of Salinas California was apprehended around 8pm after he entered the port in a vehicle.
CBP officials ran his name and fingerprints which lead them to discover he had an outstanding arrest warrant.
Vargas was turned over to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office and booked into jail.
He now awaits extradition to Watsonville, California.
