Abandoned marijuana found in Gila Bend

YUMA, Ariz. - Yuma sector border patrol agents say they've seized more than 140 pounds of marijuana.

Wellston station agents patrolling west of Gila Bend discovered eight bundles of abandoned weed in a desert wash south of the interstate.

After searching the area and finding no suspects, the marijuana was taken to be destroyed.

Authorities say the drugs seized are worth more than $70,000.
