El Centro Regional Medical Center is set to open a new clinic.
Hospital officials have been working with the City of El Centro and the RDA to open the new clinic, on 385 Main Street in El Centro, that use to be located on Aurora Drive.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday night. The new facility will house over 2 dozen physicians with 11 different specialties including neurology, and pediatrics.
David Green, the CEO of ECRMC says they're thrilled to be able to open the new clinic, "with this we hope to be able to add additional services, add the warmth that comes with a new building that is open to all people that can make their health home."
Green also says they're goal is to expand in the near future to take care of the health needs of those in the Imperial Valley.
They're waiting on a final approval from the state to open the clinic. They hope that will happen within the next 10 days.
