SAN LUIS, Ariz. - Some drivers may have been confused this morning trying to cross into the U.S. at the San Luis border.
Cars trying to use the SENTRI border crossing lane to enter into the U.S. at the San Luis Port of Entry this morning were able to cross into the U.S. despite rumors the lane had been closed on the Mexican side.
Drivers News 13 talked to this morning say a chain had been extended across the SENTRI lane; however, they were able to find an alternate route in order to cross using the SENTRI lane but initially were a bit confused.
They also say a small group appeared to be protesting near where the chain was put up at.
Customs and border protection officials say they heard about the chain on the Mexico side but say they are still open for business.
