Swaim appears in court briefly in connection for lewd acts with minors

EL CENTRO, Calif. - The former California Highway Patrol Lieutenant accused of sexual misconduct with a minor was in court today but only briefly.

John Swaim was in an El Centro courtroom for a hearing but has been continued until February 22.

The District Attorney's Office says Swaim's attorney Bob Espinosa is currently involved in a juvenile trial. The defense asked for a later date.
