Arizona senate panel approves online sales tax

An Arizona senate panel moves forward to change laws to specifically force Amazon.com to start collecting sales tax.

The panel unanimously voted to move forward on forcing Amazon.com to collect and pay sales tax on items shipped to Arizona residents.

Current Arizona law exempts online retailers from collecting sales tax.

Amazon says they will file a lawsuit. They say they shouldn't have to collect sales tax because they do not have a physical location in Arizona.
