WASHINGTON D.C. - As spring break approaches, the U.S. State Department is warning U.S. citizens to avoid some parts of Mexico.
The U.S. State Department issued the area for Nogales, Mexico and the beach areas of Puerto Pearson, also known as Rocky Point.
Officials say the warning has been issued because of Mexico's continued drug violence and human trafficking activities.
People still wishing to travel to Rocky Point are urged to use the Louisville border crossing in order to limit driving through Mexico.
