The Yuma Police Department needs your help to find a suspect involved in an armed robbery Saturday night.
Officers were dispatched to the Burger King located at 1501 South Avenue B after 10 PM according to Sergeant Clint Norred with YPD.
"The investigation revealed that an unknown male wearing a hooded sweater, gloves and a mask entered the business walked to the front registers and demanded money while pointing a hand gun at the manager," says Sergeant Norred.
The manager then gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. "The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction the manager did not receive any injuries," says Sergeant Norred.
News 13 spoke with the manager involved in the incident. He is back at work but was unable to give any extra details regarding the matter because higher management asked him not to speak to the media.
Sergeant Norred says most national chains have their own policies and procedures but most follow similar guidelines when instructing employees on how to handle this type of situation.
"Cooperating and being a good witness and you know it really comes down to your safety and generally the odds show if you give them their demands they are looking to exit pretty fast," says Sergeant Norred.
The Yuma Police Department is asking for anyone with information regarding this case to please contact them or 78- crime to remain anonymous.
