MEXICALI, MEX - Mexicali authorities say three suspects have been arrested in connection to a shooting over the weekend.
Mexicali Municipal Police arrested the trio for allegedly shooting a man.
Police were also able to recover weapons.
Mexicali Municipal Police have turned the suspects over to the state's police, who is conducting the investigation.
Authorities say the El Centro farmer was shot several times in Mexicali after the three suspects allegedly tried to rob him.
After the victim was shot, he managed to drive himself to the Calexico Port of Entry where he was then flown to a hospital for treatment.
The case remains under investigation.
