YUMA, AZ - The Yuma Police Department is seeking the public's help in an on going fatal collision accident over the weekend.
YPD responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash Sunday just after 5pm Mountain Time on the intersection of 88th Street and Avenue B.
An investigation revealed that John Esperanza was riding a bicycle on the crosswalk through the intersection.
A 2005 Nissan Sedan, driven by Irene Pollard, was attempting to make a left turn from 88th Street onto Avenue B when she struck Esperanza.
The 67-year-old was treated on scene by Yuma Fire Department before being transported to Yuma Regional Center.
He was then flown to a hospital in Phoenix were he died to due to his injuries.
