MEXICALI, MX – Mexicali Police arrested a man in connection to the murder of a 17-year-old deaf girl.
Police say Henry Jose Puentes Padilla confessed to the murder and directed police to the crime scene and the location he disposed the victim's body.
They say the 33-year-old told them he killed her because she refused to have sex with him.
Police say the young girl was last seen last Friday in a local park.
An intense search was conducted after her parents reported her missing the next day.
Mexicali Police discovered the mutilated body in a sewer yesterday.
They say she was missing both legs and arms. Investigators were only able to recover one of her limbs.
An ax was also found which they believe was used in the murder.
A forensics team was able to identify the 17-year-old and they believe her body had been in the sewer for over a day.
