American Legion's 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off

YUMA, AZ - Dozens of people showed up for some home made chili this weekend. The American Legion Post 19 hosted its 3rd Annual Chili Cook off Saturday.

The event kicked off as early as 8am and tasting started as early as 11 with judging to follow at 2 p.m. KSWT news staff took part in the fun by judging who had the best chili and the winner took home $500 cash.

Brave attendees who wanted to go the extra mile. even participated in a Jalapeno eating contest.

Participants say the event is held to help the community and local organizations like Crossroads Mission.
