SAN LUIS, AZ - The four council seats up for election in San Luis are in high demand.
Ten candidates will be on the ballot in the primary election on March 13, 2012.
Seven are running for a four year term, including one write in candidate. In addition, three are running for a two year term.
Most of the candidates are not new to politics as they've held public office before.
There would have been 11 candidates on the ballot if one of them had not been barred from running for city council.
Following Yuma Superior Court ruling, Alejandrina Cabrera was removed from the ballot due to English deficiency.
The decision was appealed to the Arizona Supreme Court where judges upheld to lower court's ruling.
