YUMA, AZ - Local elementary students got have opportunity to get the college experience for a day.
Students from Gwyneth Ham and Orange Grove Elementary paid a visit to Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University Yuma branch campus to get a little taste of college life.
Students had the chance to attend different classes like: chemistry, fitness and English.
All students were very excited to be on a college campus and News 13 spoke to one potential college student from the graduating class of 2023.
"I do feel like coming here. It looks like a really good school that I can learn a lot; any career that I would like to take when I grow up," said Orange Grove Elementary student.
Elementary school staff in attendance say it's a great opportunity to inspire grade student to seek higher education.
