YUMA, AZ - Schools continue to struggle with budget cuts all across the Desert Southwest.
Yuma Union High School District met yesterday for a work session meeting to discuss how to deal with budget cuts.
In the last three years, the district has lost $16 million in state funding. District officials say this has forced them to cut faculty and staff positions.
The board pointed out that they haven't been able to buy essential school equipment like: buses, computers and textbooks.
They are trying to figure out solutions and stretch every dollar they have to continue to provide quality education to their students.
