Calexico, CA.- Border Patrol agents arrest a 43-year old Mexican national, who was previously convicted of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.
On Wednesday around 2 a.m., agents assigned to the El Centro Border Patrol Station were patrolling an area west of the Calexico port of entry by horse when they spotted the man attempting to enter the U.S. illegally. He was later identified as Carlos Baga-Magallon.
Early Wednesday morning, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Border Patrol Station arrested a 43-year old Mexican male illegal alien, who was previously convicted of felony attempted murder and assault with a firearm.
Baga was convicted on an attempted murder charge in 1993 in Arcadia, California and was sentenced to 19 years in prison. He was previously deported from the U.S. in 1990.
Baga is being held pending federal immigration charges.
