NEWINGTON, Conn. (AP) - Family and friends will be gathering to remember a Marine pilot from Connecticut who was killed when two military helicopters collided in Arizona last month. Calling hours for Major. Thomas Budrejko are scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home.

The 37-year-old Montville native was among seven people killed in the Feb. 22 accident during a training exercise in a remote section of the Yuma Training Range Complex. He was an executive officer of a Marine unit based at Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has ordered flags lowered to half-staff around the state Saturday in Budrejko's honor.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Newington followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Britain.
