Man robs Yuma hotel at gunpoint

YUMA, AZ - The Yuma Police Department says a suspect remains on the loose after robbing a hotel at gun point last night.

YPD says it happened around 11pm Saturday at the Ramada Inn located on the 300 block of East 32nd Street.

They say a male wearing a black hooded jacket, gloves and a mask entered the hotel and approached the clerk and demanded money while pointing a handgun.

The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

He then fled the scene and his whereabouts are unknown.

YPD says they conducted a search in near by neighborhoods but he was not found.

They encourage anyone with information to contact police at (928) 373- 4700 or 78-crime to remain anonymous.
