Final 4 In Imperial Valley College President Search Announced


IMPERIAL, CA – The Imperial Valley College Superintendent / President Search Committee has forwarded four finalists to the Board of Trustees following a first round of interviews. This is information released by the college.

The finalists forwarded to become Imperial Valley College's next Superintendent / President are:

Dr. Andreea Serban, Interim Vice Chancellor Educational Services, Coast Community College,  Costa Mesa, CA.

Dr. Chris Villa, Vice President of Student Services, Fresno City College, Fresno, CA. 

Dr. Gholam Javaheripour, Vice President of Administrative Services, Victor Valley College, Victorville,CA. 

Dr. Victor Jaime, Interim Superintendent/President, Imperial Valley College, Imperial, CA.  

The search committee was chaired by Kathy Berry, Imperial Valley College's Vice President for Academic Services. The vacancy, which occurred when former Superintendent/President Dr. Ed Gould retired in June 2011, has been recruited for extensively and advertised nationally. Initial interviews were completed in February 2012 by a committee of various cross-functional employee group representatives along with student and community members. 

The interviews with the Imperial Community College District's Board of Trustees are scheduled to occur during a special board meeting 10 a.m. Monday. (March 26). The interviews will be in closed session.
