EL CENTRO, CA - The El Centro Sector Border Patrol has announced the addition of two wild mustang horses.
The mustangs will join the sector's horse patrol unit Thursday.
Border Patrol officials say they're proud to add these horses to protect our borders.
They say the mustangs are the first of their kind to join the El Centro Sector.
Border Patrol says the horses are part of an adoption program and are trained by inmates in Carson City, Nevada.
The two mustangs will be named by students from the Calexico Unified and McCabe School Districts.
Students from each of the school districts will name one wild Mustang each.
Once the names have been selected, a ceremony will be held to welcome our newest community law enforcement officers and to officially name the Mustangs.
