Yuma County Fair opens up gates to public

Posted: Updated:

Yuma, AZ--After a year of anticipation, the gates finally opened to let the public enjoy the 60th annual Yuma County Fair and it was a hit.

For those who prefer not to go on the rides but want to give their taste buds a treat.

The fair offers all kinds of food from delicious popcorn, chocolate fudge to tasty cinnamon rolls.

It appeared people didn't mind waiting a little longer to buy them.

"We've been serving cinnamon rolls for about 36 years, said an employee at the Cinnamon roll stand. "Cinnamon rolls are obviously delicious as you can see by the lines. Everybody waits here to get them. We love to serve them and hopefully everybody will be back next year."

After you get yourself a delicious treat you can sit down at one of the many entertainment stages and enjoy some of the new additions like Jerry Breeden "the ventriloquist" at the Guido stage.

General admission for adults is five dollars.

Admission for children between ages 6 through 12 is $3 and children under five are always free.

Gates to the fair open at 8 a.m. everyday day until Sunday April 8th.
