WINTERHAVEN, CA- We're learning more about the suspect who barricaded himself in a Yuma home over the weekend.

Michael John Kinale, who appeared in Yuma Justice Court Tuesday, is wanted out of Imperial County for failure to appear in court for assault with a deadly weapon.

The 22 year old also faces a charge of battery with serious bodily injury.

According to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office both charges stem from a November incident in Winterhaven when Kinale allegedly smashed a female neighbors head into the concrete.

Kinale was arrested in this case on a warrant March 24. He was released from jail that same day after posting $50,000 bond.

Imperial County has requested extradition of Kinale.

He's currently being held on no bond at Yuma County jail on this charge.

Kinale is back in court Thursday.
