YUMA, AZ- Yuma-area students interested in a military career can learn more about the process by attending Military Academy Night.
The event began several years ago as a Raul Grijalva office event in cooperation with Cibola High School.
It's now in its third year of being run by Yuma Union High School District.
Military Academy Night will feature representatives of each military service branch and a staffer with Representative Grijalva's office to assist with nomination applications.
The event will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Kofa High School.
It's open to middle school and high school students.
Servicemembers will discuss their military experiences, the importance of strong academics, the need for a clean police record and the value of participation in student government and extracurricular activities.
