
Yuma, AZ - A 25-year-old Yuma man has died Thursday evening after he lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons, according to police.
The Yuma Police Department says the accident occurred at 7:45 at the intersection of Avenue A and County 14th.
They say the driver, who has not been identified, was driving his 2006 Honda Civic north bound on Avenue A approaching County14th when he veered off the roadway and collided with the pole of a traffic signal.
Police say the victim was treated at the scene and transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center by a Yuma Fire Department ambulance.
They say he died shortly after arriving at the hospital. YPD says there is no evidence of alcohol and the accident remains under investigation.
