
YUMA, AZ - A motorcycle accident in Yuma Saturday afternoon leaves one person seriously injured.
Yuma Police officials say it happened just before 4pm at the intersection of Palo Verde Street and Avenue 2 1/2 E.
The motorcyclist was driving eastbound on Palo Verde Street when he was thrown from his bike after the brakes locked.
YPD identified him as Emmanuel Cordova.
The 39-year-old was accompanied by two other motorcyclists.
Police say Cordova was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
He sustained serious injuries and was flown to a hospital in Phoenix.
