YUMA, AZ- A local man brutally attacked has died of his injuries and sheriff's deputies needs the publics help locating a person of interest in connection to his death.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office says 30 year old Manuel Bustamante knows deputies are looking for him but he refuses to turn himself in.

YCSO says he wanted for questioning in the death of 33 year old Kendall Smith of Yuma.

They say Smith died Sunday from blunt force trauma to his head.

Sheriff deputies found Smith unconscious in the 2500 block of E. 15th Place in Yuma Wednesday night following someone reporting a disturbance involving six people armed with baseball bats.

All suspects fled the scene but deputies found a bloody baseball bat in the area.

YCSO says they've served two search warrants to two different homes in Yuma in connection to this ongoing investigation.

Anyone with any information concerning this case or the location of Bustamante is urged to contact YCSO at 783-4427 or 78-Crime.
