Early morning storm knocks out power in Calexico

CALEXICO, CA- More than 80 Imperial Irrigation District customers were out of power due to the storm that rolled into the Desert Southwest early Thursday morning.

IID says just after 3 a.m. two cross arms poles near Highway 98 and Barbara Worth were knocked down.

They say 83 customers in the eastern Calexico area lost power.

IID says half of the customers had power restored by 5:45 a.m. and by 10 a.m. all customers were back online.
