Man arrested for stealing vehicle and weapons

WELLTON, AZ- A man is behind bars facing a laundry list of charges after being arrested by Wellton police.

Jeffrey Mercado Valbuena is at the Yuma County jail on $25,000 bond.

He faces charges of theft by means of transportation, trafficking and stolen property without authority, misconduct involving weapons, attempted possession of marijuana and attempted possession of drug paraphernalia.

Valbuena was arrested by Wellton police Saturday afternoon.

He's due back in court Tuesday morning.
