Yuma, AZ - Bridget's gift an organization focused on raising breast cancer awareness and Assured Imaging teamed up today to provide accessible mammograms to people in Yuma.
The Mobil unit set up shop in front of Albertson's on 24th Street and Avenue B this morning and wrapped up their services at 5PM.
Assured imaging provided the mammograms. For people who didn't have insurance it cost $150 dollars.
Bridget's Gift says prevention is crucial.
"It's pretty harmless. It's nothing anyone should be afraid of. The alternative is to take 10minutes to get checked and make sure everything is okay, or put it off and have it be something that needed to be done earlier," says a Bridget's Gift Board Member.
Bridget's Gift says the results will be mailed to patients seen in about 1 - 2 weeks.
20 mammograms were performed today at no charged sponsored by Bridget's Gifts.
