Calexico police investigating suspicious death - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

CALEXICO, CA- Calexico police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death.

They say the body of 26 year old Julio Gutierrez was found in the 1200 block of Estrada Blvd. Saturday morning around 6:00.

Police believe his body was placed there, based on evidence found at the scene.

They say the area where Gutierrez's body was found isn't commonly used during the night hours.

Police say he was last seen between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. Friday night.

An autopsy will be done Friday to find out how Gutierrez died.

Anyone who may have noticed a vehicle or people in the area Friday night or early Saturday morning are urged to call Calexico police with any information.
