Mexican teen arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into the U.S.

SAN LUIS, AZ- A 19 year old Mexican national is arrested for trying to smuggle nearly $400,000 worth of methamphetamine and cocaine north of the border.

San Luis Customs and Border Protection officers nabbed the teen Sunday at the Port of Entry.

They say a canine team alerted to his vehicle. Officers then located 21 pounds of cocaine and nearly 13 pounds of methamphetamine in his PT Cruiser.

CBP says the drugs and vehicle were seized and the teen was arrested and turned over to ICE.
