ADOT: Construction on Interstate 8 could cause delays

WELTON, AZ - If you plan on traveling on Interstate 8 in the Wellton area Tuesday and/or Wednesday you could experience some delays.

Arizona's Department of Transportation plans to apply some oil to extend the life of the pavement along the interstate between milepost 29 and 37.

You can expect traffic to be channeled to one lane in the area of the work from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. and that could lead to some back ups.

The work will be done to both East and Westbound lanes.

ADOT asks that you slow down and use caution in the work zones and allow for extra time.
