Schools Open Back up After Shooting-Suspect Still at Large

Yuma AZ Police continue to search for a suspect involved in a shooting in a Yuma neighborhood nearby several schools. One person was hit by the gunfire and taken to an area hospital.   

Yuma police responded to a call of a shooting this around 9:45am near 19th Street and Walnut Avenue.

   Police say one man was shot in an alley and taken to an area hospital. The shooting also forced some schools in the area including Harvest Preparatory Academy to be placed on lockdown as a precaution. Several schools were clear to reopen before 11.

     Police say the suspect is still at large and are hoping someone out there can give them some clues on this shooting and on the suspect's whereabouts.
